With the Artifex cultural platform, we have been running a gallery for visual artists since 2023 and regularly organize cultural events. The historic dyer's house on the market square in Zwettl an der Rodl provides the stylish setting for this. The ARTifex Gallery in the Färberhaus
In the 18th century, the listed dyer's house housed an "Imperial and Royal Privileged Cotton and Damis Factory" that employed up to 130 people to manufacture and dye fabrics and had its own sales outlet in Vienna. The high attic under the shingled roof was used to dry the dyed fabric. The valuable wooden tram ceiling on the ground floor testifies to the owners' former wealth. As the first tenant after 22 years of vacancy, ARTifex is now bringing color and new life back to the historic building.

We enable regional artists to present their works, enter into dialogue with the audience, network with other artists and thus increase their visibility.
Creating a meeting place
We create a space where people can meet in person, exchange ideas and experience inspiring moments together. Everyone can feel welcome in the open and warm atmosphere.
Offer local cultural services
We bring art and culture directly to people, especially those who have limited access to cultural events due to their age, their rural location or their living circumstances.
